WHY ANTIBRINGA*?

· Because this came to my mind.

· Because the name BRINGANTI, which is much funnier, was already engaged, see homepage www.bringanti.hu .

· Because, being a modest man, I have named my bicycles and this homepage as well after myself.

· Because my bicycles differ from the traditional, usual ones, in many respects they are anti-bikes and all of them are unique pieces.

· Because my bicycles are anti(que) in the sense that there used to exist such bicycles as early as the beginning of the last century, however, they disappeared due to conservativism and business interests. But now, like a phoenix, they rise from the ashes.

· As my homepage is not only about bicycles, I will say some words about other things as well. Concerning my way of thinking, I often pedal against the common trends of our age as well.

 

· * What is Meant by Antibringa?

· This word is a witty pun in Hungarian. „Anti” is a nickname for Antal (Anthony), while it also means the opposition, contrast of something in Hungarian.

· „Bringa” means „bike”, and it is used in colloquial speech. Thus,

· Antibringa means a bicycle differing from the traditional ones and, at the same time, mentality deviating from the usual one.

 

 

WHY IS THIS HOMEPAGE UNUSUAL?

· Because I do not want to convince anybody of anything.

· Because I do not want to change anybody or anything (perhaps only myself).

· Because I do not want to sell or purchase, do any business (unless I sell my old bikes for the sake of a new model)

· Because I accept the fact: so many men, so many truths.

· Because I am aware of, if many people think and do the same, it will not absolutely be good and true.

· Because I believe if anything can be spoilt, it can be mended as well.

· Because I believe one can always do some good.

· Because I believe world is not only about money, politics, power and violence.

· Because I am confident that there is another world beside the one demonstrated by the pessimists of the mass media.

 

 

Example:

Nowadays only a few people afford the luxury and wisdom not to watch the TV, not to listen to the radio and not to read the newspapers. As a matter of fact, nobody prevents us from doing so. I realized this for the first time when Zig Ziglar told this story (cited not word for word): „All people would be greatly offended at my ringing their doorbell and pouring a bucketful of rubbish into their living room, although it can be cleaned up quite easily. At the same time, they are willing to sacrifice much time and money that their minds and souls be flooded by lots of rubbish through the various channels of the mass media from minute to minute.”

 

 

Another remark of Zig Ziglar also hits the nail on the head: „Of the latter two recessions, twenty-eight were predicted by the press.”
