In 2008 I’m planning to cycle 3000 km with my AERORIDER (or SUNRIDER) and ANTIBRINGA between Berhida Papkeszi Balatonfűzfő and Balatonalmádi; in the region of Veszprém; and around the lake. (Translated by Kata JOO)

3.000 km around the lake BALATON by bike = -545 kg CO2 pollution and 14.700.000 kJoule energy saving

I have reached the fiftieth. On September 14, 2007 it was the fiftieth time I went by bike to work. The weather was favourable to me. As I reached a hillside, the sun was shining brightly on the bay at Balatonfűzfő. The grass was still dewy, it made me happy with an indescribable fresh smell. Almost everything is still green, only the calendar warns us that autumn will soon set in. I was happily pedalling on the well-known road, the wild* (see page 7, point 6.) did not disturb me and I did not disturb them either. What count these fifty occasions in a year? As a matter of fact, nothing. My father used to go by bike to work all the year round, in good and bad weather alike. At the beginning of the year I had planned that this day would fall exactly on my fiftieth birthday, that is, July 30. Unfortunately, I fell with the K7 model on Easter Monday (see page 8.) and so, for a few days, I could hardly walk. I even enhanced all this by my impatience to drive sooner than my knees would be healed up. I was forced to omit days or sometimes even weeks. Now and then, the weather played a joke on me, sometimes I got wet and I got cold. At such times, I was again forced to have some rest. I was filled with envy when, sitting in my car, I was looking at bikers coming and going on the road. But finally, I managed it. Routes planned for the year 2007: 50, distance: 2 x 16.5 kms, time needed: 41-65 minutes. The serial number for a given day marks the occasion when I managed to take this route in 2007. The +kilometres written in blue colour mean some short or long trip written about in the diary. In the year 2006, I was able to take this route on forty occasions. My best time is up to now: 34.5 minutes.
